Montessori Principles
Important: Never place, push, or sit a child on the playground set. Place it in the room and allow the child to explore it independently. Be nearby for support but avoid physical interference. Children naturally climb only as far as they feel safe — they avoid doing things they're unsure about. If we place them in a position they didn’t reach on their own, they won’t know how to safely get down, which creates insecurity.
For younger children: Climbing should be done independently, but always with adult presence. Independent play ≠ unsupervised play.
Material & Safety
The climber is made of 15 mm thick natural, highly durable birch plywood. The surface is covered with a transparent opal white laminate that preserves the natural wood look and reflects daylight softly. It is smooth, warm, pleasant to the touch, and highly resistant to scratches, abrasions, and ink stains. Edges are treated with slightly darker natural oil for a vintage feel.
